We are delighted that Wonderful Winds will be joining us for this years flute day with a wonderful selection of brilliantly arranged ensemble repertoire.
A whole new repertoire of exciting music for ensembles of all standards, skilfully crafted through a unique understanding and experience of flutes and double reeds; music to inspire and delight players from beginners to seasoned professionals, and their audiences.

With the body ready to go it was now down to the fingers!
A technical workout soon got the fingers moving -
Paul directed a fun yet practical warm up session with many suggestions that can be incorporated in our practise. (It produced some very entertaining photos too!)




The day was filled with a wide variety of workshop sessions taken by Paul Edmund-
With amazing flute choir pieces from Wonderful Winds the groups were able to explore some lovely repertoire as well as tackle techniques to develop and enhance our playing.





At the end of day concert we were treated to a wonderful performance with a wide variety of brilliant music that we had explored during the day.

Transported to the streets of Italy by a wonderfully atmospheric performance of the Italian Connection.

We were delighted to welcome the Dorking Flute choir to join us for our event this
year as part of their break in Cornwall. Conducted by Andrea Charles they performed
Jungle Dance complete with bottle players and guest samba whistle player -
An unusual and exciting piece the audience thoroughly enjoyed this wonderful performance.
Many thanks to Chris and Andrea for coordinating the visit it was really lovely to meet you all and share such a wonderful day.
Paul provided a spectacular end to the day with the performance of several Rabboni Sonatas from his newly published second book as well as a stunning performance of a piece by Andy Scott called Fujiko.
Paul Edmund Davies and Ruth Ballantyne concluded the concert with a fiery and flamboyant performance of the much loved duet: Andante and Rondo by Doppler.
