Friends

What is a Friend?

Like most charities and voluntary organisations, 4Flutes relies on the support of enthusiasts and members of the public. If you play the flute, have a child or grandchild who plays the flute, enjoy listening to flute playing or music in general, or would like to facilitate the opportunities that 4Flutes can offer, we would greatly appreciate your contribution.

4Flutes would like to invite all those interested in supporting our work to become a “Friend”. As a "Friend" of 4Flutes you will benefit from:
  • Advanced notice and priority access to all 4Flutes events;
  • £5 Reduction on 4Flutes annual flute event with International Flautist;
  • 50p reduction on flute choir sessions;
  • Priority access to lessons with visiting artists when available.

Born July 19 ...... Now, much to my surprise I have grown up (well, become older anyway) and am currently dotty about my wife Miranda, two daughters (Martha and Amy) and cats Fluffy and Smoothy! (No I didn't choose the names!) I recently came out of the closet by admitting that I originally trained as a viola player and only gained an interest in the flute after leaving university. Between University and getting back into the music business I trained as a social worker (which helps a lot in the world of music) and played bass guitar in a heavy rock band (which doesn't help at all). I am now pleased to be a director of a company whose ethos has always been to support music at all levels. It has been fun working with Ruth over the last few years and I look forward to seeing the development of this exciting new venture.
