Born July 19 ...... Now, much to my surprise I have grown up (well, become older anyway) and am currently dotty about my wife Miranda, two daughters (Martha and Amy) and cats Fluffy and Smoothy! (No I didn't choose the names!) I recently came out of the closet by admitting that I originally trained as a viola player and only gained an interest in the flute after leaving university. Between University and getting back into the music business I trained as a social worker (which helps a lot in the world of music) and played bass guitar in a heavy rock band (which doesn't help at all). I am now pleased to be a director of a company whose ethos has always been to support music at all levels. It has been fun working with Ruth over the last few years and I look forward to seeing the development of this exciting new venture.

He had been Musical Director for Sutton Schools Training Orchestra and Director of Music in a number of schools in London, Cornwall and Plymouth where he now lives. Martin has various musical interests including the Musical Theatre and Choral Conducting as well as private teaching. Currently a music examiner for OCR Martin is also organist and assistant Musical Director at Sherwell United Church, Plymouth.
